Genre Mashup Mania: Dragons & Detectives, Anyone?

Let's face it, traditional genres can feel like a literary straightjacket. But fear not, fellow fiction freedom fighters! Genre-bending fiction lets us rip those metaphorical seams and create narratives that are as unique as a spork... (seriously, who decided that was a good idea?).

One of my latest projects? Picture this: A dusty frontier town haunted by a resurrected serial killer

with a serious case of the post-mortem mean streak. Enter our hero, a gunslinger with a mysterious mutt who happens to be a spirit guide. Talk about a rootin' tootin' ghost huntin' good time! This paranormal western thriller lets me craft a story that's equal parts chilling and action-packed.

Gone are the days when your story had to fit neatly into a single category.
